MANAGEMENT TEAM
Mr. Nima Montazeri
Managing Director
An expert in corporate strategy formation and implementation,
Mr. Montazeri leads the Company's operations. He is instrumental
in formulation and execution of long and short term strategic
decisions, alliances, and visions. He has extensive experience
in corporate finance, global expansion, and management consulting.
Mr. Montazeri has been involved in several corporate structure
and strategy planning and implementation projects. He is
an expert in structuring private investments in public equities
and has dealt with several cases over a span of more
than 10 years.
Mr. Montazeri has served in the management of several public companies structuring financing instruments, overseeing investor relations activities, organizing public relations, and planning business and marketing strategies.
He holds a B.A. in Economics with honors from the University of British Columbia and a Masters degree in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics.
Mr. Robert K. Whyte
Member of Advisory Committee
Robert K. Whyte’s focus is media and entertainment, consumer products, logistics and aerospace. Robert’s clients include both private and public firms looking to grow or acquire assets or expand internationally. Prior to becoming a founder of Diamond Capital Partners, he was head of capital markets for Mosaic Capital Securities. During that time Robert also handled many M&A transactions sponsored by private equity firms. Prior to that, he founded the Los Angeles office of Morgan Joseph & Co. as Managing Director and member of the media and entertainment group and the consumer products M&A group. Robert specialized in broadcast and entertainment financing, acting as agent for mergers or acquisitions together with sourcing funding for middle market media companies using SPAC’s, PIPE’s, high yield debt, institutional private equity or IPO’s.
Before moving to Los Angeles, Robert was a partner in the media and broadcast group of Daniels and Associates based in New York City. His investment banking transactions in this media sector assisted companies expand their asset base and enter new areas of media. His projects included working with television groups, radio groups, cable networks, mobile broadband and outdoor advertising. Additionally, he acted as agent in media and broadcast M&A transactions. Prior to this, Robert acted as a merchant banker in Toronto and New York where he specialized in communication and media financing. He completed various radio, cable, out of home and print projects in Canada, the United States, Mexico and China. Historically, Mr. Whyte was one of the founding partners in the Canadian affiliate of Home Shopping Network and, in 1986, led the company as its CEO through its Initial Public Offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
In 1981, Mr. Whyte founded a new FM radio station in Calgary, Canada, after securing regulatory approval and completing its financing. Robert was the youngest applicant ever granted a broadcast license by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). In addition to his business life, Robert is the current Past President of the Los Angeles Venture Association, the oldest community business association in Los Angeles. He is a member of ACG, NAB, CAB, NATPE and Rotary. He founded the now famous MeatEaters Ball in 2005 that is the financial and CEO annual networking fundraiser that attracts over a thousand people. Robert is a multiengine IFR pilot and enjoys fly fishing in remote locations. He attended Sir George Williams University, Bachelor of Commerce and holds a Series 7 and General Principals Series 24 FINRA licenses.
Mr. Chris Mehringer
Member of Advisory Committee; Healthcare
Mr. Mehringer is the President of Doctor Diabetic Supply, Inc., a national health care distribution company serving Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance patients. Mr. Mehringer joined the Company in 2002 and has been instrumental in developing and implementing the Company's growth strategy, including key contracts with Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Bayer HealthCare.
Formerly, Mr. Mehringer was Founder/CEO of NT Media Corp., a publicly-traded online entertainment and distribution company. In this capacity, Mr. Mehringer orchestrated transactions at both the corporate and business unit levels, including financings, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, and oversaw the company's SEC compliance and investor relations.
Mr. Mehringer holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an M.P.P. from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Mr. Amir Ettehadieh
Member of Advisory Committee; Biotechnology
As a scientist, Mr. Ettehadieh plays an instrumental role
in the evaluation of biotechnology businesses. Previously,
Mr. Ettehadieh has been an environmental scientist at EMG,
an environmental consulting firm based in Baltimore and
he is a director at Universal Detection Technology, a counter-terrorism
firm in Los Angeles. Mr. Ettehadieh has conducted site inspections
on over 150 hazardous material sites, assessing potential
health impacts of pollutants in the air, water and soil.
Mr. Ettehadieh's knowledge and understanding is instrumental in Floyd's ability to identify promising biotech ventures and businesses. Mr. Ettehadieh holds a B.A in Biology.
Mr. Steven Hopkins
Member of Advisory Committee; Television, Media, & Entertainment
Professionally a musician, Mr. Hopkins
has years of experience in entertainment and media and has helped numerous
clients including Honda, Lexus, Nissan, Disney, and ABC
to name a few. Mr. Hopkins possesses a deep and unique understanding
of the music, television, and advertising industries and is instrumental to Floyd's ability to advise clients
in the media and entertainment sectors.
Mr. Hopkins' input as a member of Floyd's advisory committee is valuable in identifying promising entertainment and media operations as well as recommending steps to increase business efficiency and market recognition.
Mr. Kam Najmi
Vice President; Corporate Finance
Previously experienced in corporate finance at UBS in Los Angeles, Mr. Najmi brings an entrepreneurial perspective to the company. He has previously launched two successful businesses in fashion and sports industries. His knowledge of corporate financial structure and his understanding of competitive business practices are valuable to Floyd's mission. Utilizing his experience, Mr. Najmi is influential in providing business development and expansion strategies to our clients.
Mr. Najmi's exposure to different technical disciplines has broadened his understanding of the skills and competencies that sustain a leading global financial services firm. His roles at UBS included analyzing regulatory, financial and management accounts and reports, assisting in coordinating the financial planning process, and preparing decision support information for executive management.
He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in corporate finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.
